राघव! माधव! सीते! ललिते!
विमानयानं रचयाम ।
नीले गगने विपुले विमले
वायुविहारं करवाम ।।1।।
सरलार्थ: राघव, माधव, सीते, ललिते (आओ हमलोग) विमान (हवाई जहाज) की रचना करें। नीले, विशाल और निर्मल आकाश में वायुविहार करें (हवा में घूमे)।
English Translation: Hey Raghav, Madhav, Sita, and Lalita – let us build planes. Let us roam in the blue, vast and serene sky.
उन्नतवृक्षं तुङ्गं भवनं
क्रान्त्वाकाशं खलु याम ।
कृत्वा हिमवन्तं सोपानं
चन्दिरलोकं प्रविशाम ।।2।।
सरलार्थ: ऊँचे पेड़ को, ऊँचे घर को पार करके आकाश में निश्चय ही चलें। हिमालय को सीढ़ी करके चंद्रलोक में प्रवेश करें।
English Translation: Make sure to cross the tall tree, the tall house, and walk in the sky. Stair up the Himalayas and enter Chandralok (moon).
शुक्रश्चन्द्रः सूर्यो गुरुरिति
ग्रहान् हि सर्वान् गणयाम ।
विविधाः सुन्दरताराश्चित्वा
मौक्तिकहारं रचयाम ।।3।।
सरलार्थ: शुक्र, चंद्र, गुरु और सूर्य – सभी ग्रहों को गिने। अनेक सुन्दर तारों को चुनकर मोतियों का हार बनाएं।
English Translation: Venus, Moon, Jupiter, and Sun – count all the planets. Make pearl necklaces by choosing many beautiful strands of stars.
Note: Sun is not a planet. Moon is also not a planet. It is only written here because it demonstrates the thinking of small children.
अम्बुदमालाम् अम्बरभूषाम्
आदायैव हि प्रतियाम ।
दुःखित-पीडित-कृषिकजनानां
गृहेषु हर्षं जनयाम ।।4।।
सरलार्थ: बादल की माला को और आकाश की शोभा को लेकर ही (हम वापस) लौटें। दुःखित-पीड़ित किसान लोगों के घरों में (हम) ख़ुशी उत्पन्न करें।
English Translation: Let us return only with the garland of clouds and the beauty of the sky. Let us create happiness in the homes of grief-stricken peasant people.
