Q4. A drawing sheet changes when you draw a picture on it. Can you reverse this change?

Answer:  No, the change can not be reversed once we draw a picture on the drawing sheet with a pen or colour. But this change can be reversed if we used a pencil to draw the picture.

Q5. Give examples to explain the difference between changes that can or cannot be reversed.

Answer:

Examples of changes that can be reversed-

  • Filling the balloon with air.
  • Melting of Wax
  • Melting of coal tar
  • Melting of Ice
  • Knitting of sweater

 Examples of change that cannot be reversed-

  • Bursting of balloon
  • Burning of Candle.
  • Ripening of fruits/vegetables.
  • Burning of paper.
  • Milk to Curd

Q6. A thick coating of a paste of plaster of Paris (POP) is applied over the bandage on a fractured bone. It becomes hard on drying to keep the fractured bone immobilised. Can the changes in POP be reversed?

Answer: No, the changes of Plaster of Paris cannot be reversed.

Q7. A bag of cement lying in the open gets wet due to rain during the night. The next day the sun shines brightly. Do you think the changes, which have occurs in the cement, could be reversed? 

Answer: No, the changes cannot be reversed.
