Q4. You want to buy a house. Would you like to buy a house having windows but no ventilators? Explain your answer.

Answer: No, I will not buy a house having a window but not ventilators because warm air goes out through the ventilators. As warm air is lighter than cold air, hence it rises up and goes out through ventilators and fresh air comes through the window. If there are no ventilators then warm air will not pass out and our house will remain warm.

Q5. Explain why holes are made in hanging banners and hoardings.

Answer: Holes are made in hanging banners and hoardings to pass air through it.

When the wind is blowing fast, the hanging banners and hoardings may flutter or even get torn due to the air pressure. Hence, holes help banner or hoarding to withstand in that air pressure and remain intact.
