7.(अ) उत्तर – एक: जीर्णधनो नाम वणिक्पुत्र: आसीत्। तस्य च गृहे लौहघटिता पूर्वपुरुषोपार्जिता लौहतुला आसीत्। तां च कस्यचित् श्रेष्ठिनो गृहे निक्षेपभूतां कृत्वा देशान्तरं गत:। प्रत्यागत: स: श्रेष्ठिनम् लौहतुलाम् आचयत्। श्रेष्ठी उवाच – त्वदीया तुला मूषकै: भक्षिता ” इति। ततः सः वर्णिक् धनिकस्य पुत्रं स्नानार्थं नदीं प्रति नयति। तं तत्र नीत्वा च सः एकस्यां गुहायां निलीयते। प्रत्यावर्तिते सति पुत्रम् अदृष्ट्वा धनिक: पृच्छति मम शिशुः कुत्रास्ति ? सः वदति यत् तव पुत्रः श्येनेन अपहृत:। तदा उभौ विवदन्तौ न्यायालयं प्रति गतौ। ततः, न्यायाधिकारिणः विहस्य, तौ द्वावपि सम्बोध्य तुला – शिशुप्रदानेन तोषितवन्तः।
